This pair of elegantly understated sterling silver candlesticks are by the renown American silver manufactory of Unger Brothers, established in New Jersey in the 1872. The firm was famed in the late 1800s and early 1900s for its exquisite sterling, ranging from elaborate repousse art nouveau pieces to more classic designs.
Underneath is the Unger Brothers intertwined "U" and "B," a mark used until 1919. Now over a century old, these handsome candle holders need just a bit of polishing to bring back their gleaming beauty.
